Laptops have
become a preferable choice for computer users these days because they provide
the benefits of portability and convenience. As a result, a number of leading
technology brands has come up with diverse models in laptops to cater to the
ever-rising demand of these devices. One of these brands is Acer, which is
renowned for blending quality with economy and has made laptops and notebooks
affordable for all. Additionally, it provides excellent client support through
the acer customer service number,
where users can get expert assistance to help them resolve various issues they
come across with their laptops. Most of the Acer laptops come without a CD
drive and this is the reason why it is not possible to boot them from a disc.
Instead, you can do the same using the following steps:
- Start by shutting down your laptop and then powering it on again after a few minutes. Once it begins to power on, you have to press the F8 key till the appearance of the boot-up screen.
- You will now have to select the start-up option by making use of the directional arrows. The options include “Standard Boot”, “Boot from CD” and “Boot in Safe Mode”. Amongst these, you cannot use the second one, so you are left with the options of standard mode and safe mode to reboot the laptop. In Safe Mode, the computer will need to run just minimum hardware to be on and this mode is useful if you want to remove the lock protected files.
- As soon as you decide which reboot format would be used, press Enter and the laptop will proceed to boot in the mode selected. If you have booted up in the Safe Mode but want to use Standard Mode, the computer will have to be shut down and then restarted, this time without pressing the F8 key.
Though these
steps are not very complicated, some users might still not be able to boot the
Acer laptop without CD. Such users would need to access expert help by getting
in touch with qualified technicians at Acer
laptop support number.
